Easter Bunny at 1969 Easter Egg Roll

In this photograph, taken by Victor Boswell on April 7, 1969, the first official White House Easter Bunny greets guests during the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. Inside the Easter Bunny costume is one of Pat Nixon's staff members, who initiated the tradition of an official White House Easter Bunny that year by donning a jumpsuit and Peter Rabbit mask and greeting children along the South Lawns circular driveway.
